SSRS – User does not have required permissions

You might see this error when trying to configure SQL Reporting Services after installation.

User does not have required permissions. Verify that sufficient permissions have been granted and Windows User Account Control (UAC) restrictions have been addressed.

The problem is that UAC is active.

We do not want to disable User Account Control, so instead start Internet Explorer as administrator.

And then we are able to do the configuration.
